Overview

To own and drive business development for the Nordic Region.

 

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, creating and executing the sales strategy to grow positive net new revenue for the Nordic Region (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland) targeting new business across all institutional and wealth channels. 

 

Regular travel is required. Based in Germany or Luxembourg.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Nordic Region (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland)
  • Drive positive net new revenue across target channels of Retirement, Insurance and Wealth
  • Maintain regular dialogue with clients, consultants & prospects to understand their needs and deliver appropriate investment solutions
  • Understand, and remain current on, Allspring's business strategy, investment views and product capabilities
  • Expand Allspring’s presence by developing client-focused events (i.e. a symposiums, roundtables, seminars, etc.) that can help develop and reinforce our brand
  • Build relationships with key market participants including local and global asset consultants, rating agencies, publishers etc
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are understood and adopted. This includes full compliance with all internal requirements including Salesforce record keeping and sales compliance
  • Be a strong partner with the broader international distribution business and all other business functions especially investments, product and marketing teams
  • Act as our company spokesperson in region, partnering with our communications team and PR consultancy

Qualifications

Necessary Skills & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level
  • MBA/CFA preferred
  • Proven experience of institutional/wholesale asset management, relationship management, portfolio management and sales
  • Detailed knowledge of investment asset classes, capabilities, products and services
  • Excellent understanding of the asset management industry in the Nordic Region (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland)
  • Ability to hold consultative meetings and deliver solution-oriented proposals
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (English)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the institutional asset management industry including portfolio management, sales, client relations, compliance, risk management, operations, record keeping, custody.
  • Proven ability to identify and influence decision makers within institutional and wholesale clients

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Business proficiency in any Nordic language(s) would be a positive
