Overview

Allspring Global Investments is looking for a skilled Microsoft Power Platform Engineer. As part of Workflow & Engineering enablement team, you will be working on a firmwide initiative to build new Power based applications for Global Operations team. The applications will include user interface to manage data lifecycle  on operations and workflow automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement business applications that enhance productivity, streamline operations, and provide data-driven insights.

 

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Development:
    • Design, develop, and implement custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Dataverse.
    • Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that integrate with various data sources including SharePoint, Azure, SQL, and third-party APIs.
    • Create and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate to optimize business processes.
    • Design data models, entities, and relationships for effective data management.
    • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services (e.g. Office 365) and external systems (e.g. Azure functions)
    • Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights.
    • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintenance and Support:
    • Monitor and maintain the health of Power Platform applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing ongoing support and training to end-users.
    • Optimize usage of Power Platform. Turn off things we don’t use. Archive or remove unnecessary data to save cost.
  • SDLC:
    • Be part of a scrum team and update work in a project tracking system such as Jira.
    • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver projects on time.
    • Automate tests and deployment
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Proven experience in developing custom applications with Power Apps
  • Strong experience in creating workflows with Power Automate and building reports with Power BI
  • Experience integrating Power Platform with other Microsoft technologies and external connectors
  • Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages and Excel
  • Experience on various connectors in Power Platform e.g. AI Builder, Salesforce
  • Experience with Azure Functions, and DevOps is a plus
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL and Python
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $115,000 - $150,000

 

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
